Patrick's civic dedication includes leadership of the Arizona Advocacy Network, for which he serves as Chair of the Board of Directors. In 2015-16, Patrick was Arizona Campaign Director for Open Primaries, dedicated to open and nonpartisan primary elections and the engagement of all citizens in shaping their state's future. Patrick has a long record of building communities, spending the majority of his career in service to nonprofit organizations.
He launched and led the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits for ten years. He served on and chaired the board of the National Council of Nonprofits. He has served on many nonprofit boards, currently with Arizona Town Hall. He is a Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Fellow and a graduate of Valley Leadership.
Patrick's four decades in Arizona began as a transplant from the Midwest. He was born in South Bend, Indiana and grew up in a small Ohio town. While he has two degrees from Arizona State University, he still cheers loudly for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
